Blog post of this session available here: booknetcanada.ca/blog/2020/7/22/best-practices-for-accessible-workflows-an-experimental-project This session will cover the partnership project between NNELS and independent Canadian publishers aimed at identifying and preventing accessibility barriers. In this session we will describe the project and its different stages, highlight some of the lessons that we learned, and discuss best practices that can be introduced into the publishing cycle to generate accessible content. It will also include examples of what each of the stakeholders involved in the ebook production process (publishers, ebook designers, third-party producers, and ebook vendors) can do to produce content that is born accessible.
